One of the greatest resources teachers have is each other. It is important for teachers to communicate with one other and share ideas. Teachers can use the online Staff Room to hold discussions and share resources.

Georgia School Personnel Survey

This year the Georgia Department of Education has developed the Georgia School Personnel Survey to accompany the Georgia Student Health Survey II.  The Georgia School Personnel Survey (GSPS) is an anonymous, statewide survey instrument that identifies school climate issues that have a negative impact on student achievement.  The questions will mirror the school climate questions in the Georgia Student Health Survey II.  Data from the GSPS will be used to calculate the School Climate Star Rating within the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) to determine a correlation between the student responses on the Georgia Student Health Survey II and school personnel responses on the GSPS.  The Georgia School Personnel Survey will officially open on Monday, May 6, 2013 and will remain open through Friday, June 28, 2013.  

All teachers, school administrators, certified staff members and classified/other staff members (paraprofessionals, office staff, cafeteria workers, custodians, etc.) are encouraged to participate in the Georgia School Personnel Survey.  Most teachers should be able to participate in the GSPS from their classroom computer. There are approximately 50 questions on the survey and it should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.  Survey responses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the Georgia Department of Education for analysis.  Data results from the Georgia School Personnel Survey will not be available to the public and will not be posted online.

The link to the Georgia School Personnel Survey is posted below.  After you click on the link, a drop-down menu will appear and the teacher/administrator/staff member will use the drop-down menu to select their school district and school.  If your school is not included in the drop-down menu, please contact us using the contact information at the end of this e-mail and we will add the school to the list.  Also, if you have problems locating your school using the drop-down menu, please contact us.
